My first DIY project! Yay! I’d say it was a success.
This is probably one of my favorite home projects too. It was so simple and easy! I’ve been wanting to do some sort of photo project in my bedroom for some time now. We have an entire wall that used to be completely empty. I can’t believe it took me this long to do something with it.
Those photos hanging from tacks used to have frames, but they broke… I know, real classy.
This is a much smaller wall space, but it needed something different. This is from Michael’s grandmothers. He’s 1/4 Japanese, but if you ask him he’ll tell you that he’s 100%. *eyeroll*
So first things first
This is everything you going to need!
- Measuring Tape
- Paint Paper? That’s what I’m going to call it.
- Photo Prints, obvi these are from Artifact Uprising
- Clothes pins, I bought two different colors to match the colors of our bedroom
Clean of the wall space you’re wanting to use.
So since I have a terrible eye for straight lines, this is where that paint paper comes into play.
I folded it to make it smaller and put tape on both ends to keep it against the wall.
Just like this.
Hammer your nails in and make sure to leave about an inch and a half out.
Tie your string to each nail and start hanging!
Follow steps three and four until you have nothing left to hang!
Last and final step
Take a step back, pat yourself on the back and admire your hard work.
The other prints hanging are from Hi Kids Co. They were originally hanging in my living room, but I decided to re purpose them in our bedroom.
I’ve also made a spot for my Polaroids! I got a Fujifilm Instax Mini for my birthday and it’s been so fun to take on small trips.
I highly recommend this DIY for any one that’s on a tight budget and has some photos laying around.
